Manukuza Trails Camp is a supported walking-safari base in Balule Nature Reserve, part of the Greater Kruger conservation landscape. It is distinct from the Manukuza Primitive Trail: hikers return to a basecamp each day and take guided morning and afternoon walks with a light daypack rather than carrying all their own equipment between temporary camps.
The wilderness walks are the core product. Guides select the route and pace around weather, wildlife and group ability, with the camp providing a practical place to rest between outings.
Hike directions
The group meets the guides at the agreed reserve gate and is transferred to the basecamp. An introductory afternoon walk normally follows on arrival. The middle days feature a longer morning walking safari, a midday break and a further guided afternoon walk. The final morning includes a shorter last walk before departure.
No fixed route or distance should be published. The guide may begin on foot from camp or use a short vehicle transfer to reach suitable walking ground, and all routes remain subject to conditions on the day.
