Bontebok National Park lies beside the Breede River just south of Swellendam. It is South Africa’s smallest national park, but its significance is immense: the park was created to help save the bontebok from extinction and today protects a carefully managed mix of renosterveld, fynbos, river habitat and open country beneath the Langeberg.
