Rolfontein Nature Reserve lies north of Petrusville on the edge of Vanderkloof Dam, where open upper-Karoo plains meet dolerite koppies, wooded kloofs and big water views. The combination gives the reserve more variety than a first glance suggests: wildlife, birds, fishing country, dryland walking and a sense of space all come together in one of the province’s less hurried nature destinations.
