Karoo Gariep Conservancy is a privately managed Karoo conservation landscape near Hanover, where farming, wildlife restoration, tourism and research meet along the Seekoei River. It is not a conventional fenced-off safari park separated from working land. Its appeal is the experiment in making an extensive, dry Karoo property productive for people while giving wildlife and natural processes more room again.
