Dronfield Nature Reserve lies outside Kimberley in thornveld country where a private conservation landscape has become especially important for birds of prey. Its best-known feature is the breeding colony of white-backed vultures, monitored over many years, and the reserve offers a useful contrast to the better-known mining history and urban attractions of Kimberley.
