S.A. Lombard Nature Reserve

S.A. Lombard Nature Reserve, west of Bloemhof, is one of the North West’s quiet conservation successes. It is not a visitor safari park: access is not generally open to the public. Its value lies in the open Highveld grassland, research and breeding work, and its historic contribution to securing the survival of black wildebeest when the species was under severe pressure.
