Check into Tsumkwe Country Lodge from 2 PM onwards. Settle into your tented accommodation for the night. While alcoholic beverages aren't included in the package, you can purchase them at the lodge. Drinking water will be provided throughout the hike.
Join the 6 PM briefing session with experienced guides from WWS, followed by a delicious dinner.
Day 1: Into the Nyae Nyae
Wake up at 5:30 AM, enjoy a quick coffee and rusks, and embark on your 25-kilometer hike. The day will be filled with stunning landscapes, including a unique baobab tree. You'll camp at Makuri Community Campsite, a comfortable setup with tents, toilets, showers, and a dining area.
Day 2: Crossing the Aotcha Pan
Another early start at 5:30 AM, followed by breakfast. Hike approximately 23 kilometers, crossing the vast Aotcha Pan. Camp under the shade of a majestic baobab tree, enjoying the peace and tranquility of the desert night.
Day 3: To the Nyae Nyae Pan
Wake up at 5:30 AM for another 23-kilometer hike. The day will take you past the Hippo Pools, offering unique wildlife sightings. Camp next to the Nyae Nyae Pan, a stunning natural wonder.
Day 4: The Final Stretch
Embark on the final 20-kilometer hike, returning to Tsumkwe Country Lodge. Relax by the pool, and later, experience the rich culture of the region with a visit to the oldest baobab tree.
