Kosi Bay Nature Reserve, in the far north-eastern corner of KwaZulu-Natal near Mozambique, is one of the most distinctive sections of iSimangaliso Wetland Park. Four connected lakes, estuaries, mangroves, sand forest and an Indian Ocean shoreline meet in a landscape where water, culture and wildlife cannot be separated. It is a place for patient exploration—by authorised boat, paddle, guided walk or quiet time beside the lakes—rather than a destination to rush through.
