Register at Hadeda Camp and obtain the current trail map before setting off. The trail follows the Hennops River environment before moving through the surrounding rocky landscape.
Depending on current route arrangements, hikers use either the cable car or Waterfall suspension bridge to cross the river. Points of interest include Pruimpie se Gat and the dassie caves.
Allow plenty of time with younger hikers rather than treating the short distance as a race. There are no drinking-water points on the trail, so carry your own water.
