Sterkfontein Dam Nature Reserve is an approximately 18,000-hectare protected landscape near Harrismith, centred on the vast Sterkfontein Dam and framed by steep krantzes, grassland slopes and vegetated kloofs. It is a place to slow down: water, mountains, birdlife and the scale of the escarpment are more important than rushing through a list of activities.
