Platberg Mountain Reserve

Platberg Mountain Reserve rises immediately above Harrismith as a nine-kilometre flat-topped landmark reaching about 2,394 metres. Part of the eastern Drakensberg foothills, its steep slopes, grassland summit and broad views make it one of the Free State’s most memorable mountain backdrops and, when conditions and access allow, a serious outdoor destination.
