Dwesa-Cwebe Nature Reserve covers about 39,000 hectares of Wild Coast forest, grassland, streams and shoreline, divided by the Mbashe River. The two names describe a connected conservation landscape rather than one small picnic spot. Coastal indigenous forest and open grassland meet river mouths, beaches and viewpoints, creating a reserve with enough variety for birders, walkers, anglers and families who are prepared for a remote stay.
