Located 24.8 kilometers south of Kongola, Namibia, Namushasha River Campsite offers a tranquil escape on the banks of the Kwando River. Surrounded by lush greenery and ancient trees, the campsite provides a peaceful setting where visitors can unwind and connect with nature.
The campsite offers six well-appointed sites, each equipped with private braai facilities, shared ablution blocks featuring hot and cold running water, and power points. Campers are also welcome to utilize the amenities at the nearby lodge, located just 500 meters away.
The lodge's striking entrance, adorned with a wooden chandelier and intricate carvings, sets the tone for a truly African experience. The spacious dining room, with its thatched roof and open-air design, offers stunning views of the river. Campers are invited to take a dip in the lodge's inviting swimming pool.
Immerse yourself in the local culture by visiting traditional villages, where you can witness the artistry of basket weaving and wood carving. For an additional fee, the lodge offers a range of exciting activities, including boat trips on the Kwando River, guided game drives into the Bwabwata National Park, and fishing excursions. Mudumu National Park, located 40.7 kilometers from the lodge, is accessible for self-drive exploration in a 4x4 vehicle.
