Manzikhanya Lodge, situated on a working farm between Fort Beaufort (KwaMaqoma) and Makhanda (Grahamstad) off the R67, offers a rustic and relaxing getaway ideal for families or groups of friends.
Accommodation:
The lodge, powered by a solar system, accommodates six adults and four to six children. It comprises three thatched-roof bungalows, each accommodating four people, and a thatched main building housing a kitchen, dining area, and two lounges.
- Bungalows: Each bungalow is furnished with a double bed and a child's bed. Additional child mattresses can be arranged upon request. Two bungalows feature bathrooms with both a bath and a shower, while the third bungalow has a shower only. Guests are requested to bring their own swimming towels.
Communal Facilities:
- Kitchen: The communal kitchen is equipped with a gas fridge, gas stove and oven, and hot water is provided by a wood-fired donkey water heater.
- Dining and Lounge: A dining area is available, and two lounges provide comfortable spaces for relaxation.
- Lapa: Braai facilities are available in a separate lapa.
- Wi-Fi: Wi-Fi access is provided.
Farm Activities:
The farm offers walking and cycling routes, providing opportunities to explore the scenic surroundings. Guests may encounter zebras, kudus, and warthogs during their stay.
